Online reputation management, actually explained

What "online reputation management" actually means

Most online reputation management companies bundle a vague mix of "brand monitoring," "sentiment tracking," and SEO under one retainer, without saying plainly what any of it changes for you. Reputect splits it into three things you can point to and measure: more genuine reviews coming in, faster notice when a bad one lands, and a real process for getting the ones that shouldn't be there taken down.

That's the whole service. No brand-sentiment dashboards, no "share of voice" reports — a reputation management service should change what a real customer sees when they search your business name, and be able to show you that it did.

Common questions

Reputation management, straight answers

At a working reputation management company, it comes down to three things you can point to and measure: getting more genuine reviews in the door, catching a bad one the moment it lands, and having a real process for taking down the ones that shouldn't be there. Reputect runs all three as separate, individually priced services rather than one vague retainer.

They overlap but aren't the same thing. SEO reputation management specifically means pushing negative search results down with new positive content. It's slow, and it doesn't touch content that violates a platform's own policies. Reputect's removal service targets that policy-violating content directly, which is usually faster and more certain than trying to outrank it.

Mostly we work with businesses, but personal reputation management for individuals falls under our Sensitive Content Removal service, built specifically for non-consensual intimate images, deepfakes, and other content that targets a person rather than a business.

It depends which of the three services you need. Genuinely credible removal pricing can't be quoted as a flat number, which is exactly why we don't sell a generic monthly retainer. Review Generation starts from $449/month, Review Monitoring from $149/month, and Content Removal is priced individually after a free assessment, with reduced rates for active subscribers to either.

It depends what's actually going wrong. If nothing negative has landed and reviews are coming in fine, you likely don't need all three services yet. It pays off clearly once a bad review is already costing you customers, or your star rating is what decides whether someone calls you at all. That's the point where removal and monitoring earn back their cost, often from the very first case.
