Why Isn't My Google Review Showing Up?

It's usually a delay, not a rejection
A review that doesn't appear the moment it's posted isn't necessarily gone — Google runs new reviews through automated checks before they go live in some cases, and most that don't show instantly do appear within a day or two once that check clears.
Why Google holds a review back
Common reasons include the reviewer's Google account being new or unverified, the review getting caught by spam-detection patterns, a sudden burst of several reviews landing on one listing at once, or the reviewer not being signed in when they posted.
When it genuinely won't appear
Sometimes a review really isn't coming: it breached Google's policies outright and was rejected, it was posted to the wrong or a duplicate listing, or the reviewer deleted it themselves after posting. There's no way to force a rejected review live — the only path there is confirming whether it actually breached policy in the first place.
What actually helps
Waiting 48–72 hours before assuming it's gone for good is the simplest first step. Beyond that, manually refreshing a listing to check is an unreliable way to know what's actually happening — it's easy to miss a review that did land, or to miss one that came and went.
The flip side: knowing the moment one does land
This cuts both ways — the same uncertainty that makes a missing review confusing is exactly what makes an unnoticed negative review dangerous. Review Monitoring checks listed platforms on an ongoing basis so a new review, good or bad, doesn't sit unnoticed either way.
